I've had this blog for a while and throughout the two years I've spent blogging I've mentioned a lot of random things about me and my life, both if which are relativity uninteresting. However I am kind of excited to share some facts about moi, random as they may be. So without further ado here are my ten facts about myself.

10. I danced ballet for 7 years. I started dancing when I was about four and on and off until I was around 15. I did pointe for about a year and half before I stopped dancing ballet. It was something i really enjoyed and miss doing.

9. My top three current summer jams are "Dangerous Woman" by Ariana Grande, "The Sound" by The 1975, and "Boyfriend" by Tegan and Sara.

8. The one book I could re-read all the time is Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly. I talk about this book ALL the time on this blog. I've mentioned it in other TTT posts and countless others. If you haven't picked it up I highly recommend that you do.

7. I'm the type of person that always has to flip over pennies if they are not head up. I'm not particularly superstitious or anything but for some reason this is a thing that I do and do often.

6. I'm obsessed with bullet journaling. After spending some time on the studyblr tag on tumblr I decided to try bullet jounraling and I am obsessed. It's fun and keeps you organized.

5. I've been to 9 (going on 10) concerts. I've been very privleged and lucky to have been able to go and continue to go to concerts. My 10th concert is actually going to be Coldplay. I'm VERY excited.

4. My go to shoes are booties with heels.  I don't know what it is about short boots with heels, but they seem to make every outfit better.

3. I saw Captain America: Civil War TWICE. I love marvel and I love the Captain America franchise. The movies are amazing and I haven't been able to stop talking about this movie since I first got into the Cap fandom which was roughly a year ago.

1. I'm going to university in the fall. I have roughly two months before I leave and start university. I'm really excited and can't wait to meet new people, do stupid things, and take classes I want to take. It's going to be such an amazing experience :)

Top Ten LGBT Late 2016 Releases

I want to start off by saying how horrified and saddened I am by hate in this world and the people who let it drive them. This past weekend, as many of you know, Pulse, a gay club, was attacked. 50 were killed and 53+ were injured. The LGBT+ community was attacked during a month that celebrates love as it is, in a safe space they found happiness in, with people they loved and cared for. We must all stand together and stay strong for those who can't, for those we lost, and those who need out support.

Today I wanted to honor the community and Pride month and list LGBT books that I can't wait to read. 

10. Fjord Blue by Nina Rossing. This follows a gay boy after he is shipped to Norway of all places. There he meets Evan, a kind boy with secrets of his own. 

9. The Best Man by Richard Peck. I honestly think this book is going to be so so cute. Archer's uncle is getting married to his favorite student teacher. Archer is in the 6th grade and the entire book is told from his perceptive. Archer learns about the LGBT community, love, and most importantly what type of person he wants to be.

8. Of Fire and Stars by Audrey Coulthurst. This follows two princesses, one of which is engaged to the Prince, who are trying to find the assassin that turned their worlds upside down. Along the way their admiration turns to friendship which turns to love. 

7. The Other Boy by M.G. Hennessey. Shane woods is a 12 year old trans boy. He finds his niche in middle school but after someone threatens to expose his secrets. He finds strength and confronts the hate and continues life as the person he knows he is. 

6. Here Comes the Sun by  Nicole Y. Dennis-Benn. Margot is ruthlessly determined to shield Thandi, her sister, from the horrors she faced. When plans for a new hotel threaten their village, Margot sees not only an opportunity for her own financial independence but also perhaps a chance to admit a shocking secret: her forbidden love for another woman

5. Georgia Peaches and Other Forbidden Fruit. by Jaye Robin Brown. Joanna has been out for a while but she is soon forced to move to conservative Rome. She tries to lie low but that changes when she meets Mary.

4. Jess, Chunk, and the Road to Infinity  by Kristen Elizabeth Clark. Jess and her best friend Chunk take a road trip to Jess's dads wedding. Jess is ready to start her new life as an artist and college student. The last time Jess saw her father she was biologically a boy. During the road trip Jess and Chunk discover new things about each other and their relationship. 

3. Time Keeper by Tara Sim. This follows Danny who is known for his ability to fix clocks and the very fabric of time. In this world, everything is controlled by clock towers. They assign him to Enfield and assign a new apprentice  to him. Their relationship grows, despite it being forbidden. As it turns out Danny's apprentice is the clock tower's spirit. 

2. You Know Me Well by Nina LaCour. and David Levithan. I LOVE Nina LaCour. She has written some of the most profound books I have ever read. When I saw this book I literally died. I want to read this so bad. This follows Kate who just ran away and wants to meet the girl she is in love with and a guy she meets named Mark,who is in love with his best friend.

1. When the Moon was Ours : A Novel by Anna-Marie McLemore. I don't really have words to describe this book other than magical. Riddled with fantasy and magic realism, the novel tells the story of Sam, a transgender boy, and Miel. They struggle to protect one another and along the way learn how they wish to define themselves and their lives.

Top Ten Fictional Ships at the Moment

As a professional fangirl I have amounted my fair share of ships. For those of you who don't know what a ship is, it's a relationship you really like and support. I have many ships and to be honest I'm sure that there are many I forgot and that at some point this list will change.  But as of right now these are my top ten fictional ships.

Disclaimer: while I love all these ships with all of my fangirl heart, I want to say that there's more to all of their stories than just romantic relationships.

10. Hannah and Caleb from Pretty Little Liars.

9. Rose and Dimitri from Vampire Academy. I have to admit I had a giant book crush on Dimitri. I really loved this series and this relationship still remains one of my top ships.

8. Tessa and Will and Jem from The Infernal Devices. Yes I know that there are three people in this ship. I ship Jessa and Wessa all the same. It's so hard to choose one or the other.

7. Meredith and Derek from Grey's Anatomy. I'm a giant fan of this show and although I've hated them both at different points of the emotional roller coaster that is Grey's Anatomy, they both fit so well together.

6. Cath and Levi from Fangirl. They are too cute and I can't even.

5. Lincoln and Octavia from The 100. This is one of my favorite shows of all time and Linctavia is one of my favorite ships ever.

4. Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes. Bucky and Steve is the only couple on this list that isn't cannon and maybe won't ever be. But the truth of the matter is they are a great team. They both mean the world to the other and would do anything to help each other out. That being said I LOVE Peggy and I ship Peggy and Steve hardcore as well.

3. Mara Dyer and Noah Shaw. Noah Shaw gave me really high expectations in the guy department and remains my biggest book crush ever. That being said, Mara is one of my favorite characters ever! I love these two so much.

2. Finn and Rey from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. OMG! I love these two so much! TFA is a really good movie and I really enjoyed it. I love Finn so much, he is on of my favorite characters ever. Rey, on the other hand, I love just as much. They work so well together! I can't wait for the next installment!

1. Clarke and Lexa from The 100. I love their dynamic and the way they relate to each other. The politics of it all complicate their relationship but I feel like at the end of they day they understand each other in a way that no one else really does. I am I die hard Clexa fan and I'm so beyond excited for whats in store for this season!

Top Ten Books I Never Got To Read in 2015

So I have been gone for a LONG time. I've been hit with college application, waves of school work, and the holidays. It's been an interesting and very busy few months and to be quite honest with you, I'm surprised I'm alive. That being said because of all the crazy of 2015, I actually didn't get to read a lot, which is very very sad. Thankfully, the few books I did read where fantastic! Top Ten Books I've Read So Far This Year

Seeing as this was my junior year, which means SAT's and AP Tests and Mock AP test finals and projects and worrying about college. And that means I didn't get much reading time so this weeks prompt is actually really hard for me. But here are the top books I've read so far this year.

1. Every Last Word by Tamara Ireland Stone. I finished this book on Sunday, and I'm still having major feels because of it It's such an amazing novel! It's essentially about a picture perfect girl, with the perfect high school life, who has OCD and is in fact someone entirely different than who she comes across as. She discovers a way to be who she wants to be through words and help from amazing people and the stories that they shared with her. Here is my book review

2. Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. My English teacher had us read this book during our last couple weeks, and while other students groaned and complained I was so happy to have a reading break among the craziness of my day. I fell in love with this book and devoured it. It broke my heart, shattered my soul, but it's one of those books that are with shedding tears over. Its so achingly amazing!

3.Gates of Thread and Stone by Lori M Lee. This is one of the best fantasy books I've read in a while. It captured my attention and I couldn't put it down. It's amazing and definitely worth reading :) Here is my review.

4. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. I read this book for the first time this year for class, and I fell in love with every aspect of it. I love the many layers of symbolism, the crazy plot, the characters, everything really.

5. Liar by Justine Larbalestier. Omg. Many people told me that this book was good but it never really sparked my interest, but once I finally picked it up I couldn't put it down. It was amazing, filled with twists and turns and surprises that will leave you breathless and in awe. I love the whole unreliable narrator thing and this book is a great example of that! Review Here

6. We Should Hang Out Sometime by Josh Sundquist. Okay one thing first, he commented on the picture I posted of my review and I totally fangirled! Moving on, its such a great book. It's funny and real. It gives you insight not only into Josh's life but into your own. It's a great book!! I was so lucky to receive a copy of this book from the publisher!! Review Here

7. A Magic Dark and Bright  by Jenny Adams Periodic. It was an amazing fantasy read! It was dark and creepy in the best way. The romance was on point, but most importantly the plot was amazing! It wasn't something that keep you on your toes so much as kept you reading page after page, like the way you eat chips. Book review here

8. Suspicion by Alexandra Monir. This books was great. I loved the twisty parts and the overall storyline. There were parts of the book I didn't really like, and parts I found a lot of fault in, but overall it was a nice read. It captured my attention and had me rooting for the characters. Review here

9. A Little Something Different  by Sandy Hall. Okay so the only reason this is so low on the list is because I haven't finished reading it yet. I'm about three quarters of the way done it's literally amazing! I love this book so much! It's so cute and just funny and amazing! I can't put it down!

10. Paper Towns by John Green. Because I love John Green and because this book, like all his books, is so heartbreakingly beautiful.

Top Ten Tuesday Books In My Summer TBR

1. To All The Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han. I've heard so many good things and the hype for the second book is insane. I see it everywhere. I really want to like this book!

2. The Retribution of Mara Dyer Michelle Hodkins. I've been so busy with school and life in general that I haven't been able to read this book. I'm honestly so excited to finally be able to read this!

3. A Little Something Different by Sandy Hall. I bought this a while back but once again school and books for review got in the way of this book. This books is just too cute not to read!

4. Neverland by Shari Arnold. I got this for review on netgalley and I'm so excited to read this!

5. Antigone by Sophocles. I have to read this book for my Lit class this year, but i've heard that the main character has got some major sass.

6.  The Murder Complex by Lindsay Cummings. Again i've heard so many good things about this book. Plus it seems totally badass

7. Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston. Again this book is for lit, but it seems really interesting. While I'm not so excited about the copious note taking that i'll have to do, i'm excited to read this book!.

8. Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. Safe to say I was obsessed with the show and now I just need to read the book.

9. Red Queen Victoria Aveyard. This book just plain seems awesome!

10. Scarlet by Marissa Meyer. I read the first book in this series and for some reason unbeknownst to me I haven't picked up the second book yet.

Top Ten Books I Would Want To Be Made Into Movies

Okay I LOVE this TTT! I'm super excited for this list but I got to tell you it was hard to come up with. It has to be a book that you love so much you need a show, or a movie, and the book series itself. Like there has to be a strong level of devotion for this to work. So without further ado here is my top ten!

10. The List by Siobhan Vivian. I think this book is such great social commentary. I love everything about this book and I think it's a message that should transcend books and movies. We can judge people as much as we want, but our opinions are baseless unless we know them, which we almost never do. I think that this book as a movie would be a great emotional movie and I would totally watch it.

9. Crash and Burn by Michael Hassan. So this guy, Crash, stopped Burn from bombing the school and so he's all famous and wrote a book. Crash talked about a movie about him coming out. I thought it would be so cool to see that come true. Like actually have a movie about him just like he said in the books you know?

8. Cinder by Marissa Meyer. (Review Here). I would love to see the world that this author created on the big screen. I want to see how cyborgs work, how it all works. I have my imagination and that's enough but it would be cool to see my minds picture projected onto a screen. I feel like its just such a cool retelling with an amazing world.

7. Imaginary Girls by Nova Ren Sumna. This books is so creepy and good and crazy and dark and twisty, I LOVE IT! half of me wants this to be a movie so I can have more people to talk to about that twist. It's a crazy a story filled with mystery and it would make a killer thriller.

6. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowel. THIS BOOK IS JUST SO GOOD I CAN'T EVEN DEAL. It's just one of those stories you just love. I love the characters and I honestly think Cath and I would make awesome friends. I even wrote a Harry Potter Fanfic once! lol I think this is a story that should be shared and I love reading it but having it as a movie would just add another way for me to revisit this story.

5. Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas. I love this series so much and it would be awesome to see all the action sequences played out, as well as the actual places up on a screen. It's such an amazing story and it would be great to see it played out. Plus I love the characters.

4. Graceling by Kristin Cashore. This would be an action-y, crazy, movie. Kasta is such a kickass, strong, women who can fight her own battles and is smart. She is awesome and I would love to see a movie or show where the main character is a badass woman who is capable, strong, and isn't some damsel in distress. Yes there is romance, and I ship her and Po hardcore, but it's not all there is to this book. There's so much more. Plus Po accepts Kasta and her cold, detached, badass nature, which helps me ship them even harder lol. I would love to see Fire, and Bitterblue as films too obviously but if I talked about all of them It would take up so much space. If you have not read this series, finish this post then run to the closest library or bookstore and get this series. It is amazing!

3. The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting. I think this would make a better T.V show than a movie but I still love the idea of seeing this on the big screen. A story about a girl who can find dead bodies, and tries to catch a serial killer, all while trying to figure out her own life and feelings for her best friend.I think this would be super cool. Like a crime show but with a paranormal twist.

2. The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan. This series is amazing! Creepy and incing all at once. Like I'm pretty sure I would die if I was in this book, but I love reading about the characters and their lives. It's a story about zombies (unconsecrated) and a broken society. It follows first one group then their kids. It's super interesting and crazy. The romance is on point, it's not the most important thing, but it does play a role.

1. The Mara Dyer Trilogy by Michelle Hodkins. I mean come on. This series is amazing!!! It's got mystery, a cool/creepy factor, romance, paranormal stuff, and awesome, badass characters. Mara is such a great person and I just love her so much and I wish I could give her a hug, actually I wish I could give everyone in this book a hug, well the good guys anyway. I have to say Noah Shaw *swoon* is my favorite. He is just so badass but kind, tough but sweet. You just gotta love him.

Top Ten Books I Would Revisit From My Childhood/Middle School Years

Most of these books on my list I read in elementary school or middle school. The reading bug didn't bit me until a later in life. I actually used to not be a fan. But I just hadn't read the right book or found the right genre. Anyways there are a lot of books I love and would love to reread, so here's my list.

1. The Inkheart Series. These were some of the first books I fell in love with. I remember I read them in elementary school. These were some of the first books that made me want to stay up all night to read. As a 10 year old I had a "bedtime" so I used go to the bathroom and read in there so I wouldn't get in trouble. 

2. Hold Still. I don't really have words for this book. Sometimes life kind of just sucks and you find something, a song, a book, a person, you can relate to. This was kind of one of those books for me. 

3. Before We Were Free. My sister gave this to me as a present and the story just was so amazing, raw, that it both broke my heart and made me fall in love with it.

4. Ever. This book was the book that made me actually enjoy reading. Before this book I didn't know it was possible to care so much about characters. 

5. Twilight Child. This is definitely a sorely underrated book which sucks because it's so good. The cover is really striking and the story is even more so. It's about a girl with the ability to see faeries and her life. It's actually really good, there's action, love, drama, friendship and all that jazz. 

6. East. I'm not really sure what it was about this book, but I picked it up and fell in love with it. It's this weird love story that at times but it's a good one. The main character, is strong and bad-ass and trust me there are a lot of cute swoon worthy moments.

7. The Graveyard Book. SO GOOD. This book is amazing. I pretty much gobbled it all up. I have my older brother to thank for this. He actually made me a list of book he wanted to read and he even said he'd pay me (not that he did or that I remember). But this book was just amazing!

8. Esperanza Rising. I don't really remember how I got my hands on this book but I'm so glad I did. This isn't some fluffy YA book. It's an important story that for a lot of people was their actual life and it touched mine.

9. If I Stay. This book had a profound effect on me. I read it when I was about 12 and it changed a lot of things for me. For one my expectations for a boyfriend increased because Adam.

10.  13 Reasons Why. Reading allows people to see things from a different perspectives. I didn't really understand suicide or what it meant to be so sad then I read this and wow. I think I was 11 or 12. This is one of my favorite books but it's also one of the most heartbreaking books i've read. As much as it made me cry, it's a book I hold dear and would like to revisit

11. The Sumoning Series. I LOVED these books. I devoured them as a middle schooler. I even met Kelly Armstrong and totally fangirled. If you love fantasy you'll love this series.

If You Liked Perks of Being a Wallflower You'll like These Ten Books

I love The Perks of Being a Wallflower, it's one of my favorite books of all time. For today's TTT, in case the title didn't give it away, I'm going to be listing ten books that I think are perfect for coming of of post PBW depression. If you liked the Perks of Being a Wallflower, you'll like ten Contemporary YA books. 

10. Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowel. This is so much more than just a love story. It's a tragic tale of two outsiders trying to belong somewhere, and that somewhere just happened to be together. It's an amazing book and will tug at your heart strings.

9. If I Stay by Gayle Foreman. I LOVE this book so much. When I first read it I was literally a pool of tears. My emotions where everywhere. The sequal is good too, and definitely dragged me back down into the sadness the first book brought. This one does isn't nearly as dark as The Perks 

8. Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver. At first I wasn't a big fan of the book. But the more I got into it, the more I saw the main character, Samantha, develop the more the story sunk it's sad paws on me. By the end of it I can safely say I was crying and frustrated (in a good way)

7.Crash and Burn by Micheal Haasan. This book is freakin amazing. It's real and raw and sad and gritty. It's not a book you'd read to find a happy ending, But it's oh so good. 

6. The Spectacular Now by Tim Tharp. Equal parts tragic and funny. I love Sutter. He's just one of those characters you can't help but want to help, be their friend, and be there for them. The story is amazing. I definitely recommend it, but I will warn you, the ending is so not what you'd want. Here's my Review

5. After Ever After by Jordan Sonnenblick. This is book two in a series but I feel like you could read both books seperatly and admire and love both of them. The first is called Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie. This book is amazing. It's funny and it focuses on healing and moving forward. Yet this book still managed to break my heart.

4. It's Kind Of a Funny Story by Ned Vizzini. This book killed me. I'm a ghost now. It's such an amazing and sad and sometimes funny and crazy and my fangirl emotions are overwhelming me right now. It's a book that everyone should read.

3. The Outsiders by S.E Hinton. I had to read this in 9th grade. This book really stuck with me the same way The Perks did. It's a story that everyone should read. It's really good and worth tearing up and crying over.

3.5 Rules by Cynthia Lord. I love this book so much. There aren't many books like this one.  I remember when I read it, I fell in love with it because I could relate so much to the main character, 

2. Love Letters to The Dead by Ava Dellaira. Its hauntingly beautiful. The book itself is simple and the writing isn't anything special, but I think it makes the story line and the actual words stand out so much more. It's simply sad I guess. Here's my book review. 

1. Looking for Alaska by John Green. I love John Green. I love TFIOS. I love Looking For Alaska too. It's gritty and raw like The Perks, but has hope sprinkle here and there. It's sad and tragic and funny even. This book is on point. Here's my playlist for the book.

Top Ten Fictional Heroines

I'm super excited about this week's Top Ten Tuesday. Right now we need role models of strong women in our society that seems pretty set on being sexist. As a feminist I think it's important to have women be in strong roles that are available to everyone. I think it's awesome to read a book with a bad-ass female character. or see a show where women are portrayed as strong and capable. So here's my list of bad-ass, amazing, strong heroines!

1. Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter series. I love Hermione, she's amazing, strong, and capable. I love to be her best friend. The reason I picked her as my number one is because she's smart and she's the reason the Harry Potter and Ron survive any of the numerous problems they encounter. Hermione is strong. When Ron left, she stuck with Harry, She might not be the type of girl to get into fights or make a scene,instead she's strong and awesome in a quieter way, but none the less pretty bad-ass. I mean one of my favorite scenes is when she punches Draco Malfoy.

2. Clarke Griffin from The 100. I read the book and loved her. I watch the show and she's even MORE amazing. If you aren't watching this show, you are doing a disservice to yourself. Anyways... Clarke is honestly amazing. She's only two years older than me and is thrust into a new world into a war she never wanted. She has to navigate and often time sacrifice bits and pieces of her to win the war. I honestly respect her so much. She's also kind, and sweet, and always willing to do right by the people she loves. 

3. Regina from Once Upon a Time. She's one of my favorite characters and she's also one of the most bad-ass on the show. She kind of is this force of nature. Sometimes she could be evil and sometimes she was just beautiful and strong. No matter what life has thrown her way she has grown and become a better person while becoming a bastion of strength for a lot for a lot of the characters on the show. 

4. Kasta from Graceling. All her life she has been misjudged and ostracized and treated terribly. Yet she over comes everything to see the good in herself and even other people. She's also a great fighter, a master with any weapon, and overall bad-ass. 

5. Tris Prior from Divergent. Because I mean come on she's just fucking amazing. Like she's bad-ass, awesome and just like Clarke she's willing to do what it takes to win the war and protect her loved ones. She's overcome so much it's hard to not see her as this pillar of awesomeness and strength.

6. Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She's just awesome. I wish I could be as bad ass as her!

7. Mary from Reign. I mean being a queen is hard work. I love her so much. I love how she's putting others first and how now she's done being a ploy and a chess piece. In a time that is much harsher to women than men, I love how Mary always is independent, regal, and strong

8. Hazel Grace Lancaster from The Fault in Our Stars. Strength is more than just a physical thing, it's also a mental and emotional thing. Hazel might not be physically strong and be able to take down anyone, be she is filled with strength and capability beyond what normal people have. She faces death and she's okay with that. There's something to be said about her strength in the face of everything she's gone through.

9. Tally Youngblood from The Uglies Series.This girl has bounced back from everything. She's not an awesome person, she's a revolutionary. I love her because she's flawed yet always willing to fix the messes she makes for herself. She's exceptionally smart and strong in both the mental way and the physical way. 

10. Lilo from Lilo and Stitch. This is probably my favorite Disney movie. I will admit it has made me cry, it still makes me cry, I mean how can you not be upset when Stitch takes the story book stands in the middle of the woods saying "I'm lost" so that his family will find him? Anyways... I love Lilo she's weird and quirky but oh so amazing. She's different and doesn't have very many friends but she doesn't let that stop her from doing things that make her happy. I honestly love her so much.

Top Ten Tuesdsay

As a YA addict, I love a good romance to fangirl over. If done right, It will make the book that much better for me. If done terribly, i'll probably dismiss the novel as cheesy. So without further ado here are my top five things I hate when it comes to romance and five things I like. 

My Dislikes

1. Insta-Love. This is my all time, I can't even deal, this is too terrible, why is this even happening pet peeve. I hate it. Insta-love is so boring, so unrealistic. It honestly sucks. I like feeling invested in a romance. I want to ship it, I want to be excited for the characters when they go on a first date. But that's not going to happen if they met and .5 seconds later they are madly in love. Now, Insta-attraction is okay. When two characters meet, think the other is cute. Talk, maybe even go out. Insta-Love is when they meet and they're heat skips beats, and they feel like the met the one after exchanging one sentence.It just happens too fast making the romance underdeveloped and pretty much just a story point, instead of being a highlight or even focal point.
2. Underdeveloped Romance. This always makes me sad, because i'll be all invested, fangirling over a couple and the author will put the relationship on the back burner and they never move forward. They get stuck in this one stage until the author is ready to pick up the romance again. I get why sometimes it happens. Especially when the plot is really cray, but it's still frustrating.
3. When Its too cheesy. There's a fine line between being cute and being cheesy. I guess it can be pretty hard to discern because one of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to romance when everything feels like it's overdone.  It's okay if you travel to cheesy land every once in a while, but please don't make a permanent residence. 
4. Bad Communication. This makes for such a frustrating read. Romeo and Juliet is a perfect example. If they were less hasty and were able to communicate better then maybe they wouldn't have died. Or Insurgent. I mean could Tris and Tobias have worse communication skills. Literally one of the most frustrating books. All I wanted was for them to be happy, but no, they were hell bent on not talking to each other. 
5. Overdependent Characters. I always dislike when strong characters, typically girls, fall in love and suddenly they become all dependent and damsel in distress-y. Or when characters get put into relationships because they feel like they can't have too strong of a character. (Glee is a perfect example. Whenever one of the girls is doing well, they always need to have a man. No matter how strong, how independent they always get shoved with a guy.It's annoying). 

My Favorite Aspects

1. Hate at first sight. Not really. I love when characters at first don't really like each other, but then see the good in each other and fall in love. This is part of why I LOVE Mara Dyer and Noah Shaw. It just adds dimension to the relationship.
2. Love Triangles. I have a love hate relationship with this, but honestly it adds so much to the book as well as suspense and crazy shipping and yeah...
3. Best Friends to Boyfriend/Girlfriend.  I think this is so cute. If done well, this can be super cute and just amazing. I love how this happens in The Body Finder. It so cute, I can't even deal.
4. When it's NOT the focal point. As much as I love romance, I love when it's not the entire plot. I like when it's a part of the plot but not the most important thing. 
5. Funny + Love. I love when characters are put into funny situations, or they're just funny people. It makes the romance cuter and much more shipworthy. 

Top Ten "Can't Wait For" Books of 2015

This year is going to be awesome. My book goal is set at 55, hopefully I'll be able to read more than 55 books, but seeing as school is going to be driving me bonkers this year I figured this was a safer estimate. I was on goodreads, because that's kinda what I do with my free time. That and sing obnoxiously loud and off key... yup! Anyways I was on goodreads and I found all these AMAZING to DIE FOR books that I need to read sometime this year.

1. Made You Up by Francesca Zappia. This about a girl with schizophrenia and who is battling it. First of all the cover is beautiful. Second the whole idea behind this book is amazing and I honestly think this will be one awesome book. Alex, the main character is starting to feel normal as she goes through the rights of teen-age-dom, and it freaks her out. I'm so excited for this book
2. My Heart and Other Black Holes by  Jasmine Warga. It's about a girl and a boy who from a suicide pact. This one is going to break my heart. As will many of the books on this list. Not going to lie I have a penchant for really sad books for some reason.  
3. The Walls Around Us by Nova Ren Suma. It's a mystery, paranormal YA book about a ghost and two living worlds and the secrets they hide. It seems really interesting and I like the idea of adding the ghost in the midst of it all. 
4. Vanishing Girls by Lauren Oliver. First I love Lauren Oliver. Her writing is amazing and she's just plain amazing. The book is about two sisters dealing with a life changing accident that scars one of them and forever changes their bond. Once one of the sisters, Dara, and another girl disapears, Nick has to find her sister before it's too late. Tell me you don't want to read this now.
5. I was Here by Gayle Foreman. Gayle Foreman is such a great writer. She conveys emotions so well and I pretty much love anything she writes. I'm sure i'll love this book just as much. It's about two friends Meg and Cody. Meg commits suicide and Cody is left to figure it all out. 
6. The Last Time We Say Goodbye by Cynthia Hand. Lex is dealing with her brother's suicide and a test that could have changed everything. Suicide is way too common in our society. I think by exposing it more in books, and movies, and the media to help those feel this way less alone is important. However, I DO NOT want it to be romanticized, because there is nothing romantic about someone ending their life.
   I DO want for it not to be taboo to talk about. I DO want people to recognize that depression is a sickness. I DO want those who suffer from it to know nothing is wrong with them and that they need help to get better. Well I went off on a rant there...
   
7. Like it Never Happened by Emily Adrian.This is about a girl who changes herself up, finds happiness, and of course isn't supposed to date the guy she really, really likes. I think this will be a fun read, with a cute little romance in it. Imma need something upbeat after all these tear tearjerker books.
8. The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black. Holly Black is really freakin' amazing! She's also super sweet in person. I met her a couple years ago at the Teen Convention in L.A one of the best days of my life. I met so many authors this day... Good times. Anyways this is about a place were fae and humans live side by side. People come visit thinking the faeries are harmless. However, one day Pan wakes up and everything is gonna change. This is going to be one awesome, action packed book. I'm sooo excited for this one! 
9. None of the Above by I.W. Gregorio. It's about an intersex girl who finds out she's intersex. I think the premise of this book is great and i'm eager to read this. I hope that the author pulls this subject off well. I think if done right this book can be amazing!
10. The Stars Never Rise by Rachel Vincent. There appears to be fantasy, romance and humor in this book. Plus I hear good things about this author. I'm sure this book will be awesome!

Blogtober: Top Ten Tuesday

1. Hogwarts. No one who has ever read Harry Potter can not say they have not been dying to go to Hogwarts. I mean come on, its Hogwarts
2. Narnia. The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. How awesome would it be to go here. To just be surrounded by mythical creatures, wear princess dresses, make friends with some fauns.
3. Inkworld. Inkheart trilogy. I loved this trilogy as a kid. It's still one of my favorite book series ever. 
4. Hogsmead from Harry Potter. Because I would LOVE to have some butter beer!
5. Blackfriars Bridge. After reading The Infernal Devices I really wanted to go to London and stand on the Blackfriars Bridge. 
6. Amsterdam. I never really thought twice about Amsterdam until TFIOS.I meam I wanted to go to the Anne Frank house and go there because of the history but I never really thought of it as a place I would desperately want to visit. In the movie it looked beautiful and in the books it's description really drew me in.
   
7. Genovia from the Princess Diaries. For the longest time I actually thought this was a real place. I was absolutely heartbroken when I found out it wasn't real place at all.
8. Idris from The City of Glass. How cool would it be to be a shadowhunter! To be a shadowhunter in Idris! *sigh* 
9. Rivendell from The Lordof the Rings. It seems like such a safe, calm place to be. 
10. Neverland from Peter Pan. It's got mermaids, fairies, and pirates oh my! And you get to just play and have fun and not worry about things, and best of all you get to stay a kid.

Top Ten Characters I want at my Lunch table

This is actually perfect! I love this weeks theme! I just went back to school two weeks ago and i've been looking forward to this post for a while! So tell me, who would be at your lunch table?

1. 1. Jem Carstairs from The Infernal Devices because he's a sweetheart and an overall amazing person. Definitely would be my best friend!
2. Hermione from the Harry Potter Series because we're both really nerdy and try hard in school. We have similar goals and I feel like we'de get along really 
3. Agustus Waters from TFIOS because I love him and well he's Augustus Waters
4. Schuyler Van Alen from the Blue Bloods Series because she's a bit weird and quirky kind of like me.
5. Charlie from The Perks of Being a Wallflower. He's such a great guy, whose sweet and I really want to give him a hug.
6. Cath from Fangirl because we're both fan girls and are complete and total nerds and are okay with that. 
7. Noah Shaw from the Mara Dyer Series because a)he's super cute b) his accent c) has a really big heart and is really a nice person, if your on his good side. Good looks aside he's a pretty awesome person
8. Cole St Clair from the Shiver Series because I love his humor and I feel like he would make a really great friend. 
9. Tally Youngblood from the Uglies Series because I really liked her in the books and I feel like we could get along really well
10. Adam from If I Stay because he's an amazing talented person. He's one of my favorite characters ever. Plus he can play guitar at lunch!

Top Ten Books I'm Not Sure I'll Read

     So I have a couple books sitting on my book shelf, sitting on my TBR list yet I never read them. I know i'm not the only one who has this problem. Here I am looking at these poor unread books and books i really want to want to read. 

1. Maze Runner by  James Dashner. The movie is coming out and I know I need to read it but I can't bring myself to do it. 

2. Pretty Bad Things by C.J Skuse. I got this book as an ARC when I went to The Romantic Times Teen Day Book Festival. It's been sitting on my shelf ever since then. It might as well be brand new...

3. Saving The World by Julia Alvarez. My dad baught me this book because I LOVE Julia Alvarez!! Yet after reading In The Time Of Butterflies, which is around the time I got this book, I just didn't read it. And it looks sooo good and I want to read it but I keep getting distracted by other books :(

4. Bloodlines Series by Richelle Mead. A lot of people say this series is amazing but as much as i want to want to read it, I'm pretty positive I won't ever pick it up. 

5. Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt. I saw the movie. I LOVE the movie. I didn't even know there was a book until one fateful day on Goodreads. I added it to my TBR list, but every time I'm at Barnes and Noble or the Library I never look for it or bother asking for it. What do you guys think? Should I look for it next time i'm at the library?
6. The 100 by Kass Morgan. Speaking of books turned into movies, this one was turned into a T.V show. May I just say Bellamy Blake. *swoons* I know the show is different to the book, but I really don't want to end up not liking the show because it's not like the book.
7. Vampire Diaries by L.J Smith. Similarly I watch the show but i have't read the books. I hear they're good but I just don't think i'll ever read them.
8. Night World: Strange Fate by L.J Smith. This is more of a rant than an actual book I think i won't read. So I read all the Night World books when I was a 6th grader I believe.I'm going to be junior in High School. I DEVOURED them. I loved them so much. I liked how each "book" had different characters and different intertwining story lines. So I finish Night World Vol. 3 which contains three books in one. That's kinda how the sereies works. There are three volumes each with three "books". Then I Google when Strange Fate comes out. 2013. I was really sad that i had to wait. Then 2013 rolls around and I look it up again. 2015. Now i'm just angry. I just looked it up. There's no date now. I'm officially P.O'ed. I'm not sure if this will ever come out :( . I get it she was working through stuff and took a break from writing, and when she was waiting to have her books re-published into the versions I've read. But it's gotten way too ridiculous. And the thing is I know people have been waiting longer than I have.
9. Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi. I keep checking this out at the library and I keep starting it, but I've yet to finish it. I honestly have no excuse.
10. Fever by  Lauren DeStefano. I read the first book in this sereis, Wither. I didn't really like it. It felt insta- lovey and just no. I've heard good things about the second book but there's so much banter about whether it's good or not I don't think I'll read it.

YA Contemporary Novels about Real Life Issues.

11.Almost Perfect by Brian Katcher. OMG! AMAZING! Basics: A guy, Logan, just got out of a relationship where he got cheated on. Enter this quirky, cute girl. Sage. Match made in heaven right? If only things were that simple. Sage is a transgender girl who is trying to make the world see her for what she is. Logan is trying to understand his growing feelings as well as what they mean. This book will break your heart, but it's worth having your heart broken over. It's a story that needs to be read.

10. Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. If you are just getting into contemporary novels this is a must read. It's short but it's an amazing story you can relate to. It was one of the first contemporary novels I fell in love with.        

 9. Survival Kit by Donna Freitas. It's a gritty book about losing someone you love and yeah it's sad but we read contemporary because it's realistic and sadness it a part of life. Seeing Character's deal with their problems and grief teaches us how to deal with our own or at the very least reminds us we're not alone. That's true of all books but specifically contemporary novels.                                          

8. Winter Girls by Laurie Halse Anderson.This book deals with anorexia and does a good job at depicting what it's like to lose someone to the same disease you have. Again it's sad and probably not the best book to start of with but once you get into the genre it's a good book to read. It's definitely worth reading.

7. Red Glass by Laura Resau. It's essentially about this girl whose family takes in a little boy who crossed the boarder and was left without a family. Her family decide to take him back to his parents. It's got romance as well. It's a really good book!

6. Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell. It's everything a book should be. It's got suspense, romance, mystery and great characters that will break your heart. The story is amazing and so well told!

5.Breathless by Jessica Warman. After her brother is taken to a mental hospital and being diagnosed with schizophrenia, Katie struggles to make a new life for herself in her new boarding school. It's really well told, i think, and it WILL leave you breathless.

4.Virtuosity by Jessica Martinez. I can't even with this book. It's amazing and raw and just simply can't get out of your head good. It's essentially about a super talented Violinist that has a psychological drug addiction. Enter cute boy who makes her question everything. Like I said it's a great book.

3. The Sky is Everywhere Jandy Nelson. It's one of the best books I've ever read. It's about a girl who loses her sister and deals with romance, grief and being a teenager. It's kind of like that one sad song that you always listen to. Despite all the sad aspects of it it's a well written book that will definitely touch your heart. If it doesn't, you don't have one.

2. Hold Still by Nina LaCour. This is basically about a girl who loses her best friend in the entire world. Her best friend committed suicide. This is about healing and moving on and trying to accept what's happened. Clearly I really like depressing books. But the characters definitely have you rooting for them. Every character in the book is real and you just want to give them a hug. I love feeling connecting to characters and this book is one of those books that has just left such an imprint on me

1. Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly. This book is one of my all time favorite books. It's gritty and hard and sad but it's got hope somewhere in the mix of things. It's about a girl named Andie who lost her brother and as a result lost her way. She finds her way back with the help of some french friends and an old diary written by a French girl during the revolution. It's a book that is primarily contemporary which is why it's on the list but it does have some fantasy elements for those of you not ready to let go of pure fiction. Honestly, this book left such a mark on me, and left me crying, but it's still full of hope. It was amazing. I've read it 6 times.
