Style Saturday: But First Coffee

13 June 2015

It's all so crazy. I'm on summer break, getting ready with college apps, trying to figure out how to get a super awesome kick ass score for the SAT and the ACT, and trying to finish up my edits for my NANOWRIMO story. Yet all I seem to do is take pictures, read, and watch netflix. I'm not really sure how it works but someone told me that my mind wants to go 1000 miles per hour and my body just wants to chill and do nothing. Thus I am at war. With my tired body winning almost all of the time. Hence why this post is going up at 12:30. I went to bed at 3 and woke up only at 11. Go figure. I guess you could say i'm a little bit of a mess at the moment. A mess who very much needs her coffee in order to function right now. So guys tell me how are you guys spending summer?

Honestly I love this outfit. It's comfortable and breezy enough for a summer day. Even though it hasn't gotten to hot yet. Seeing as I'm mostly tired right now and the weight of expectations weighing me down, when I found this shirt, I thought it was perfect! I've been searching for a good pair of high wasted shorts and honestly I wish I had bought another pair, and this are awesome. I'm still searching for holy grail high waisted shorts.

Transitions

11 April 2015

There are still some cold days. There are warmer days. There a busy days and just busy days pretty much. I think this outfit is perfect for transitioning between winter and spring. The key to any look like this is layers. If it's colder where you're at you can throw on a warmer coat or a scarf.

It's crazy to think that there are only two months left of school. I always thought that the entirety of junior year was hard but in reality the worse time is the last two months of school. Finals are looming, (next week) and AP tests are rushing towards us with an intensity that's scary. In many ways I feel like I've transitioned into a busy crazy time that will probably make me loose what little sanity I have. But hey life's more interesting when you're a little crazy right?

Skating into style

29 January 2015

It's been a while since I've done an outfit post, so here I was planning to do one over a month ago. I actually went figure skating and took these pictures in December. But I never posted it. Better late than never right? I'm the type of person who always plays things safe. I do what i'm supposed to when I'm supposed to. I plan ahead. I study when I have to. You'd think figure skating was nothing. But I've only been figure skating once when I was like 6. My friend Marianne was in the same boat as me. So we decided to just go for it. As it turns out i'm not bad at ice skating. My friend did not have the same luck. She fell four times. Regardless is was a lot of fun!

There aren't many true winter days in Southern California, but this day was. It was cloudy and cold and I loved every moment of it! I was finally able to break out my favorite winter coat!
This was a good day and it's nice to remember days like this. It's weird how days as simple as these tend to be some of our more treasured memories.

Polk-a-Dot Autumn

28 September 2014

My dog, Ruby, photobombing this last picture :)

For the first time in a really long time, it wasn't unbelievably hot here in SoCal. I took advantage of this slightly chillier weather (at least for a California girl) and wore my knit tights. I love fall and winter. They're my seasons. I love wearing sweaters, layering, and wearing a lot beanies. Granted it wasn't a real "fall" day, but it  was enough to get me excited for sweater weather!

So tell me, what trends are you excited for this fall? Are you a cold weather person? Let me know
