Top Ten Tuesday Perks of Being a Reader

This weeks theme is top ten books that I would read with my book club if I had a book club. Now, I've been in book clubs before and when I was younger it was fun and awesome. As a sophomore I tried to get back into it but I didn't a)know anyone b)they weren't too open to new people. So that didn't end well. Technically though, because a lot of my friends are book nerds and love YA fiction we all tend to read the same books and vent to each other so it's kind of like having a book club. So With my non-official book club i'de love to read...

  1. Harry Potter books by J.K Rowling. You can never ever fangirl enough over Harry Potter. These books are amazing and I'm sure anyone one would be down to read them again.
  2. The Selection. I have a confession. I've never actually read these or pecked them up. I've heard people rave and recommend this book to me like crazy, yet I still haven't picked up the series. I definitely want to and I'm sure it would make me read them faster if I knew I had people I could talk to and vent to.
  3. The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare. Because this series made me cry. Because these characters are some of my favorite. Because of all the damn feels I get from this book. Ted just about sums it up. I need to share this experience with people. I've done it once on my own, why not have people who understand my fangirl emotions?
  4. Made You Up by Francesca Zappia. I don't think this has come out yet, but I feel like this book would be great for a book club. It's about schizophrenia and a girl who deals with it and continues to have a normal life. I feel like by sharing this book with other people and talking about it, you are also able to talk about mental health and the stigma around it. (Jacksgap made a video I really liked about this). This is an important issue to discuss and I think that this book will allow for people to gauge a whole new, and hopefully more accepting understanding of mental health.
  5. The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin. Or more accurately the Trilogy. These books are so creepy, so good, so cute, so amazing that it warrants a lot of hypothesizing and fangirling.
  6. Court of Thrones and Roses. This is by Sarah J. Mass. I read Throne of Glass with my last book club, it seems fair to read this one with it as well. I love Sarah J. Mass and I feel like this book wouldn't let us down.
  7. Cinder Series by Marissa Meyer. I've only read the first one. (review here) but I already know that i'm going to need people around me who will understand what I am going through and freak out with me.
  8. Vanishing Girls Lauren Oliver. I think this would just be fun to read and see how other people react to it.
  9. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowel. Seeing as my main reasoning for joining a book club now is mainly for fangirling and having people to fangirl with it only makes sense that we read Fangirl.
  10. City of Savages by Lee Kelly. Because this looks cool.
Me every time I read.

25 October 2014

Hey guys! It's Saturday!! The best day of the week. I had a pretty good Friday. I spent it drinking butterbeer and catching up on shows. Pretty much the Friday night dream, I know.

Anyways I just want to thank Once Upon a Book for nominating me for Best Blog Award. It honestly made my day :) She's got a great book blog! Definitely check her blog out!!

Here are the rules:

  1. Thank and Follow the blog that has nominated you.
  2. Tell us 11 things about you.
  3. Answer the questions that were set up for you.
  4. Nominate some blogs and make your questions for them.
Facts:
  1. I really like British T.V Shows. I love Skins and My Mad Fat Diary
  2. I love chai lattes
  3. I procrastinate a lot. I'm known for staying up late finally starting that essay that was assigned two weeks ago. I somehow still do well.
  4. I'm vegetarian. Have been fro over three years.
  5. I play What Sarah Said on the Piano when I'm sad.
  6. My favorite animal used to be a cheetah, but then people made fun of me by calling me gazelle which is what cheetahs eat. So I had to change my favorite animal
  7. I love the twilight movies, even though I deny it half the time
  8. I feel like my handwriting is messier when I right in pen.
  9. I have shoulder length hair. I used to have long hair. Almost down to my waist. Everyone didn't want me to cut it. No one could picture me with short hair. But then I did it, I loved it, and now no one can picture me with short hair.
  10. The oldest friend I have is Marianne from Marianne Says... we meet in kindergarten and got close in middle school.
  11. I cry a lot. Books make me cry, Movies make me cry, Seeing other people cry makes me cry. I can't help it. My friends like to make fun of me for, but I can't help it.

Questions:

1. Which is/was your favorite subject
Like book genre? Or like school subject? My favorite book genre right now is contemporary. I love reading contemporary because it deals with more real life problems and how to overcome them. I don't know I've just been finding myself being able to relate to these books the most.
As for school, I don't really have a favorite subject. I do love english, but I hate doing essay's. I like History but some parts can be boring. I guess I'd have to say english minus the essays.

2. Be brave: What is your most shameful characteristic?
Okay. I tend to push people away. Keep them arms length. I can't help it. I love my friends I do, and I trust them and all that, I just have issues with getting super close to people. I feel bad about it sometimes but I can't help it.

3. Which book is your guilty pleasure?
Hmm It'll probably have to be Dark Visions by L.J Smith. I love the trilogy and I love how now you can buy all three in one book, or volume I guess. I love it, it's kinda corny but in the best way possible!

4. What social media you use the most?
To be honest I'm not really a social media person, but being a blogger kind of makes me a social media person. But the one social media networks that has always been my favorite is tumblr. It's Fangirl paradise. I'm on it every day, posting things, reblogging things, putting links up etc.

5. Which book you have in your TBR and you have been procrastinating too much into reading it?
Okay, don't kill me, but The Hunger Games. I read the first one and I never picked up the rest. I know I know I'm terrible! It's just other books kept getting in the way. Like Divergent. And The Darkest Minds, and others.

6. Choose a recent movie toon. Why did you picked him/her?
I don't think I'm answering this correctly but I've been obsessed with Willamette Stone. They're not a real band, but the do have real songs. For those of you who don't know, Willamette Stone is the fictional band from If I Stay. I love Heart Like Yours.

7. Which book are you reading right now?
I'm reading Melt by Selene Castrovilla. I don't want to talk to much about it cuz I'm going to be doing a review on it, but I'm not to happy with it at the moment.

8. Name a Disney Princess for rating the last book you read and explain why.
Jasmine. Because Queen of Someday is about a princess and her quest to fall in love. Unfortunately for her, she does, but not with the guy she's supposed to marry. Like Jasmine Sophie struggles to be powerful in a time when men and politics rule.

9. How did you decided to start reading that book?
I decided to read Queen of Someday because I like historical fiction but I don't read enough of it. So I thought I'd give it a try

10. Name a Blogger and a BookTuber worth the time...
Booktuber everyone should check out is probably PolandandBanannaBooks. She just says what everyone is thinking, and can fangirl with the rest of us.
As far as Book Blogs go, I love Oh The Books

My Nominations
  1. Marianne
  2. Noelia
  3. Cecil
My Questions:
  1. Which fictional world would you live in?
  2. Which song describes you favorite book?
  3. Favorite Kids show?
  4. One thing you can't live without?
  5. How has blogging impacted you life?
  6. Favorite Book to movie adaptation?
  7. Fictional Boyfriend? (feel free to pick more than one option)
  8. Favorite Halloween Memory?
  9. Describe you style.
  10. Picture perfect friday night?
  11. Go to fall outfit?

Blogtober14: 7 Deadly Sins of Reading

04 October 2014

So it's been awhile but i'm finally doing this tag thanks to the lovely and talented Noelia. So for the fourth day in #Blogtober14 I'm going to do the 7 deadly Sins of reading.

Greed – What is your most inexpensive book? What is your most expensive?

I spent over $20 on Clockwork Princess, i'm not exactly sure how much it was but I remember thinking that it was expensive. I bought it as soon as it came out. I love this series so much. Everything about it is just brilliant! Turned I bought as an e-book, it cost me 99 cents. This was when I really into fantasy and more specifically the supernatural aspect of fantasy. I don't think I ever finished it.

Wrath – What author do you have a love/hate relationship with?

Ahh, P.C Cast and Kristin Cast. When I first discovered the House of Night books, I thought they were amazing! They had humor, romance, and suspense. I loved them so much and I still do. As much as I love these authors I hate the decisions they make in books. I even gave up on the series. I don't even know what number we're on anymore. But honestly I feel like half the time the decide something, they change their mind halfway through the book. So we're stuck with this random twist that actually didn't even need to happen.

Gluttony – What book have you devoured over and over with no shame?

If you know me at all, you know i'm in LOVE with this book. I practically fangirled over it in one of my Top Ten Tuesday posts! I've read it 6 times and I'm going for 7 this year. I honestly don't care how many times I've read and will read this book, it will and never has failed me. It's just impeccable. Like I can't even with my feels!

Sloth – What book have you neglected reading due to laziness?

You ever have a series that you LOVE? Then after you've read it, you think about how not so good it was? Well this happened to me with the Immortals series. I still love it a lot! Don't get me wrong i'm a fan. But even I can't admit there are a lot of flaws and stuff going on that are a) really? b) Really, still? But I don't care, I love it! Anyways, back before I saw the problems with this series, this book came out. It's the last book in The Immortals. I bought it and I was so excited, but I got busy and lazy and I've abandoned it. And now that I see all the problems, I'm even less likely to finish it.

Pride – What book do you talk about most in order to sound like an intellectual reader?

Personally, I don't read anything to impress other people. I read for me, as I'm sure many of you guys do. And for some reason classics seem to be what people use to sound/seem smarter. I haven't read many classics sooo I guess to some people the books I read aren't "intellectual" when in reality they really are. I really hate some of the stereotypes about YA Lit. It's so frustrating

Lust – What attributes do you find attractive in male or female characters?

Will Herondale. Jace Herondale, Jem Carstairs. Enough Said.

Envy – What book(s) would you most like to receive as a gift

Isn't it just beautiful?

Alright so thats it! I guess this is the part where I tag people. I tag anyone who reads this post and want to do it!. If you already have this post up feel free to link it in the comments cuz i'd love to check it out!

Book Talk:Sinner by Maggie Stiefvater

13 September 2014

 Release date: July 1, 2014
Book: Sinner
Author: Maggie Stiefvater
Source: Netgalley (Note: I got this in exchange for an honest review)

The Basics:

A standalone companion book to the internationally bestselling Shiver Trilogy.

Sinner follows Cole St. Clair, a pivotal character from the #1 New York Times bestselling Shiver Trilogy. Everybody thinks they know Cole's story. Stardom. Addiction. Downfall. Disappearance. But only a few people know Cole's darkest secret -- his ability to shift into a wolf. One of these people is Isabel. At one point, they may have even loved each other. But that feels like a lifetime ago. Now Cole is back. Back in the spotlight. Back in the danger zone. Back in Isabel's life. Can this sinner be saved?

My Musings:

I absolutely adore the Shiver series. It's really fucking amazing! If you haven't read it I definitely recommend it! I was super excited for this book and thankfully was able to get it after it came out! I of course had high expectations for this book, and it didn't fail me at all.
This is a book for fans. Sinner was very much it's own book and not really companion. It was in the same world and Sam and Grace are mentioned here and there but it wasn't Shiver. Which was the point. So if you're looking for Shiver 2.0 this ain't it. I will say that you do need to read the Shiver series to understand the stuff in the book because the things that happened in Mercy Falls do play a role in the book. So if you haven't read it, get off your bum, get the series, get back on your bum and read!
Maggie Stiefvater has such an amazing writing style. She can be hilarious but be painfully deep. She has the perfect balance of sad musings and happy words. I love how honest her writing is. She's not romanticizing her characters or their problems. She's bringing them under different lights and just letting them tell the story.  I also love how sarcastic each of the characters are. It's honestly amazing!
I fucking love Cole and Isabel. The thing that I loved most about them was the fact that they were so messed up but were trying to be better. Characterization was perfectly done. They were strong until they couldn't be any more. But after all, isn't there strength in breaking down too? Cole was both poetically sad and witty. Isabel was sassy and cold. I could connect with both of them. They had me cheering and laughing and even crying. There's this moment where Cole reaches this really low point  where it seems like he's given up on everything. It broke my heart to see him like that. But in the wise words of Tix from My Mad Fat Diary "Broken people fall to bits sometimes. It's just what they do". Needless to say my fragile fangirl heart couldn't handle it and so I cried. I really wish there was a way to give characters a hug. I would have given them both one. Then probably smacked some sense into both of them. I love Sophia! I can relate to her so much. Her overachiverness, her aiming to please, ready to forgive nature. She is such an amazing human person who is just too too nice and too too good. I love her role in the story and the way she helps Isabel, even when Isabel can't do anything but push everyone away.
This is one of those books that's more character driven than plot driven. This book is essentially, without the werewolf stuff, about to very fucked up people who love each other and are putting the broken pieces back together. I did like how even though romance was a big factor in the book there were a lot of real life issues, like addiction, moving on from addiction, broken families, grief, loss etc. So this is a gritty book I'm not gonna lie. But the grit and gore are part of what I love about this book and make it special.
Romance obviously does take a front seat in this book. It's a book about Isabel and Cole's relationship. So there are A LOT of  omg-this-is-too-freakin'-adorable moments. Like seriously I was gushing over these cute scenes. I love their relationship. They are there for each other when it counts but neither of them rely on the other totally and completely. They are okay with being their own people as well as leaning on each other. Sometimes in books one of the characters ends up being totally and completely dependent on the other and I hate it. Romance wise  this book was on point!
I would definitely recommend this book to you guys! It's amazing. The writing is really good, the characters have amazing depth and it's just really freakin' awesome.

Coffee For Sinner: Blanco y Negro. Its really good coffee with vanilla bean ice cream. It's amazing. If you have the opportunity to try it I definitely recommend it! I think the contrast works really well with this book because in some ways Cole and Isabel are different but they compliment each other in their own way. Isabel is cold as a defense mechanism and Cole, well every one wants a piece of him, and he smiles and puts on a show.

My Rating:

Waiting on... My Best Everything

09 September 2014

Release Date: March 2015
Book: My best Everything
Author: Sarah Tomp
You say it was all meant to be. You and me. The way we met. Our secrets in the woods. Even the way it all exploded. It was simply a matter of fate.

Maybe if you were here to tell me again, to explain it one more time, then maybe I wouldn’t feel so uncertain. But I’m going back to the beginning on my own. To see what happened and why.

Luisa “Lulu” Mendez has just finished her final year of high school in a small Virginia town, determined to move on and leave her job at the local junkyard behind. So when her father loses her college tuition money, Lulu needs a new ticket out.

Desperate for funds, she cooks up the (definitely illegal) plan to make and sell moonshine with her friends, Roni and Bucky. Quickly realizing they’re out of their depth, Lulu turns to Mason: a local boy who’s always seemed like a dead end. As Mason guides Lulu through the secret world of moonshine, it looks like her plan might actually work. But can she leave town before she loses everything – including her heart?

The summer walks the line between toxic and intoxicating. My Best Everything is Lulu’s letter to Mason – though is it an apology, a good-bye, or a love letter?

Add it on goodreads

Why do I want to read it?

When I first saw this summary I thought it was pretty interesting. The thing that got me, however, was the fact that this was a letter. It makes you wonder what could have happened between Lulu and Mason. It's not even out and i'm already soo excited. I love books that write in letter format, like The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Love Letter's to the dead etc. I love contemporary romances too sooo this is definitely up my alley

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Breaking the Spine

Liebster Award

31 August 2014

Hello my lovely readers!! So I've been gone the last two weeks. Missed me? Well I've missed you. I've been crazy busy with school, but I'll do my best to post on schedule. So in my absence I've been nominated for the Liebster Award four times!I'm finally getting around to this post and the questions have added up lol. Thanks to DeeDee, ChloeAlexandra Marie, and Noelia

The Rules
1. Thank the blogger who nominates you.
2. Answer the 11 questions she/he asks of you.
 3. List 11 random facts about yourself.
4. Nominate 11 bloggers with less than 200 followers.
5. Ask these 11 bloggers 11 questions of your own. You can't nominate those who nominated you.
6. Let them know you have mentioned them.
Also I there were some repeat questions so if there's less than 11 questions from someone it's because i previously answered it already. So without further ado, here are the questions!
DeeDee's Questions:
1. Favorite month?

Hmm. Let me think about this. Probably December, because 1) Christmas 2) hot chocolate 3) sweater weather. Enough said.

2. One book you can read over and over again?

Okay this is easy. I can re-read Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly until the day I die. I've already read it 6 times. And i'll probably read it again soonish. It's just such a great book. The writing is phenomenal. The plot is amazing. I love Andie, the main character, to death. This book is everything I want in a book. If you haven't read it, you really should!

3. One place you would love to visit? I'de love to visit. This is toughie! I love the idea of traveling. I've only left California twice in my life. Which is more than some people, I know, but still. I would love to visit so many places. Hmmm I would love to go to Chile. My sister visited it and came back talking about it and it just seems like such a great place.

4. What made you start blogging? Whenever I read something I always feel like talking about it and telling my friends what I think about the characters, the plot, what I hated, what I loved. So it made sense to me to make a blog and just share what I think. It took me a while to actually make it a blog because I wanted to make sure I would be dedicated to it. And I promise that I will do my best!

5. Favorite meal? Breakfast, lunch, dinner?

BREAKFAST! I love pancakes and French toast and breakfast sandwiches. It’s also the only type of food I can make soo…

6. Are you a morning or night person?

Night. I feel like I work better at night and I don’t know I love watching movies and shows and blogging of course into the wee hours of the night. I hate mornings. Like seriously I’m terrible in the mornings. I can’t function, I’m probably cranky and just no. You don’t want to see me in the morning.

7. What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?

Hmmm…I can’t pick. It’s like asking a mom to pick her favorite child. It’s just not possible. But I suppose I can be a bad mom for this one question and pick 2. Orange Sherbet and Cookies and Cream.

8. Any blogging advice?

Get organized. Decide what your posts are going to be and when you’re going to post them. It’s important to have a schedule and to be consistent. Being organized also helps you organize your time and have enough time to make a post.

9. Do you have a secret talent?

Well I don’t think it’s a secret at all but I make killer French Toast! It’s delish! I can make strawberry stuffed French toast with homemade strawberry syrup, cinnamon French toast, Banana French toast etc.

10. Role model?

Proably my older sister. She’s been through a lot in her life and she’s still come out on top. She’s wicked smart and works hard at everything she does. As if she wasn’t talented enough she can sing, play guitar and dance. But most importantly she’s extremely humble and just overall genuinely good person, the rarest type.

11. Dream occupation as a child?

It changed a lot. I wanted to be veterinarian. But then I realized that I would cry every time an animal died. And I didn’t want to be sad all the time so then I wanted to be Marine Biologist. But I can’t swim that well, and the ocean scares me. I think it’s super cool and I love watching specials on discovery, animal planet, national geographic on ocean life. I LOVE shark week! Like I live for this week. Anyways I’m off topic. Then I wanted to be a dancer. I was just delusional about that one.

Alexandra's Questions:

1. What's your favorite TV show?

I can’t pick! I’ll just say my favorite show right now and it’ll probably change later on. I love Falling Skies. I can’t even with this show!

2. Favorite Youtubers (if you watch Youtube)? For some reason I really like British youtubers. I love Zoella, Alfie, Naomi Smart, Marcus Butler, Casper Lee. I also love Marmrie Hart, Grace Helbig, and Hannah Hart, Tyler Oakly, Bethany Mota, StillaBabe09, and Vlogbrothers.

3. What is your dream job?

I would love to be a YA author

4. Coffee or tea?

Both? I need coffee to give me the energy to get shit done and I need tea to calm me down when I start freaking out.

5. Favorite store?

Barnes and Noble

6.. What would you say has been your biggest accomplishment?

I’m 16. There’s not a lot I’ve done with my life that doesn’t involve school. The first thing that comes to mind is when I got first place in an arts contest for a poem I wrote.

7. Favorite musical artist?

We’re going to be here all day. So here’s the condensed version: Coldplay, Bastille, The 1975, Sara Bareilles, Tegan and Sara, Kodaline, Head and the Heart, Lorde, Beyoncé, Sia, and Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeroes.

8. What do you like to do in your free time?
I almost never have free time, but if I do I’m reading, writing, watching T.V or dancing wildly in my room.

9. Do you have any current favorite fashion trends?

Sometimes I wish I could be a fashion blogger. I Love fashion. And I love picking out outfits and styling things and it’s just so much fun for me. As of right now I like the plaid, the grunge look, I love those green parkas, and Kimonos.

Chloe's Questions:

1. Do you like to write, and if so, would you ever consider writing a novel?

Yeah I love writing; it’s how I stay sane. I’m actually already writing one right now.

2. Who is your favourite author and why?

I love Melissa Marr. She’s writes paranormal YA. I love how she makes the characters relatable and feel so real even when the worlds not. It’s hard not to fall in love with the characters and just cry with them, laugh with them, and yell at them when they do the one thing you don’t want them too.

3. Any weird reading habits?

When I read a book I always need to have random breaks. If someone just died I will take a break and just cry. If something super suspenseful is about to happen I’m going to take a break and just be frustrated for a moment or two.

4. Why did you start your blog? What inspired you?

I already answered the first question, but I haven’t answered the last one. I’m not really sure when I got the idea to do this or what inspired me. I want to say my sister was the one who told me this was a good idea and that I should go for it. So I guess you have her to thank.

5. What can you be found doing on days when you just hang around the house?

Randomly dancing, singing, reading, writing, yelling at my book/T.V because that’s just what I do. I’ll probably have like a mini movie marathon if I have time. Like this summer I had a Lord of the Rings Marthon.

6. What are some things you hate? Why?

I hate ants because bugs and just no.

I hate insta-lovey reltionships in books because I feel like it takes away from the romance and relationship.

I hate when people are being hurtful and saying stupid things to discriminate someone. Like seriously why can’t we just be nice to each other and live our lives? No one should ever feel the need to make someone feel like less of a person because of their gender, sexuality, skin color, religion, political party, favorite books, or whether you like Twilight or not.

7. What are some personality traits of yours that you like? Why?

I like that I’m sarcastic. I tend to like that about other people because they make me laugh and if I can do the same, well then awesome! I like that I get really attached to book characters. Part of the reason I like reading is because I like being part of a different reality and if I get attached to the characters it feels more real to me.

8. If you had one superpower what would it be and why?

I would be like Prue from Charmed and have the power of telekinesis.

9. What would you do with a million dollars?

College fund! Then donate some to Cancer research centers. Then I would buy a lot of books and maybe some clothes. And I would buy my mom a new car.

10. If your life was a reality show, what would it be about?

Honestly not much happens in my life so I’m not sure who would watch it. But it would be about a self-proclaimed introvert who starts off high school with no friends. But she soon meets people who befriend her. She becomes the ear of many and is the “therapist” of the group if you will. She struggles to juggle her friend’s problems and her own all while trying to keep up a 4.0 GPA

Hmm I made my life seem somewhat interesting… Would you guys watch this?

Noelia's Questions:

1. Explain the meaning behind your blog name

I wanted to incorporate the name of a book that I love and has had a profound impact on me: Perks of being a Wallflower. It’s an amazing book and I have no words for the amount of love I have for it. And a lot of people don’t really appreciate books and reading like I do and a lot of you guys do. And it has a lot of pro’s so Perks of being a Reader.

2. If you could travel through time, which period of time would you go?

Ummm I took a quiz cuz I wasn’t really sure. I got the 40’s but I don’t think I’de like to live in that era as much as I wish I could be part of the 1960’s. I would want to be part of the civil rights movements as well as just right for more rights in general.

3. What got you into reading?

I used to hate reading when I was in elementary school then when I was in fifth grade I read this book by Gail Carson Levine, who wrote Ella Enchanted. It’s called Ever. For some reason I fell in love with this book and after that I was hooked.

4. Besides reading, what other hobbies do you have?

I like to write poems, short stories or work on my book. I also like do dance.

5. Do you like to listen to music while reading? Or maybe have a snack?

Sometimes I find songs that just go with the book and so I do listen to music occasionally. But no I don’t eat and read, I would hate to mess up the book.

6. Physical books or e-books? Why?

Physical books. I like turning the page, feeling the weight of the book. And the smell.

7. If you could create the perfect group of friends choosing fictional characters, which ones would you choose? Why?

I would be friends with Hermione because she’s super sweet and nice and smart and we have similar goals. I would also be friends with Ron and Harry, but I imagine I’d be closer to Hermione. My best friend would probably be Jem Carstairs, from The Infernal Devices, because he’s just perfect and awesome. I would also be friends with Schuyler Van Alen, from the Blue Bloods series, because we’re both shy and quiet and don’t quite fit into the norms of society. Charlie, from Perks of being a Wallflower, because I just love him. Augustus Waters because he’s Augustus Waters. Cath from Fangirl because I feel like we’re so alike and we’de get along really well. Noah Shaw because he’s good friend when you’re on his good side. Kishan from The Tiger’s Curse Series because he’s awesome and he can turn into a tiger and if any one messes with us well he’s a tiger.

8. Have you ever disliked an author, or rather his/her books, which everyone seems to love?

No but there is a book that I read that I just disliked soo much and it seems everyon loves it. It’s called Dash and Lilly’s Book of Dares. I just felt like it was soo cheesy and I don’t know it the characters were like eehh to me. I’m sorry! I wanted so much to like it!

9. If you could be a fictional character, in which genre would you like your story to happen? Why?

I would probably be in a YA paranormal book. This way there is a contemporary element like high school or having a boyfriend, but I could also be like a kick-ass witch or something.

10. (At this point I was completely out of ideas, so maybe this last question could be lame… this is so hard!) Last one: if you are given the opportunity to re-write the ending of a book, would you do it?

I’ve been unsatisfied with endings before but I usually understand it after a while. So Umm I’m going to take poetic license and instead re-write the ending of a show.

Skins Fire and Rise: I’m sorry it’s a sucky ending and if you hate it I’m sorry, but it’s one in the morning and this is what my mind came up with.

It’s amazing how much a phone call can change your life, how much one person can mess it all up again. I knew I shouldn’t have answered, I knew I should have let it ring. But I picked it up because I wasn’t thinking, because if I was there’s no way I would have picked up.
“Effy” I knew that scruffy voice too well. Like really well. Sometimes I even miss it. Strange how no matter how much time changes you, you still miss the past. “It’s been a long time”
“Not long enough” I sigh.
“Same old Effy” I can feel my lips twitch into a smile. Tony was on my couch sleeping. I glanced over at the clock, it’s almost 9am .
“What is it?”
“We need to talk”
“About?” I walk into the kitchen trying my best not to wake up Naomi. “I’m going to be late for work, I don’t have time to just talk”
“Effy just meet me at Scarlet Bar.” Before I could even tell him no, he hung up. I ran a hand through my neat curling iron curls. I set my phone on the kitchen counter. I could feel the memories banging around loudly in my head. I hated it. I hated it. Remembering and remembering. And all it took was five sentences. Five sentences and suddenly I’m 18 again, a really fucked up 18 year old.
“Who was that?” A sleepy Tony walked into the kitchen. His eyes were half closed and his hair was a chaotic mess.
“Cook”
